Ben 10 was launched as a TV series in 2008 (North America) and 2009 (United Kingdom). It was created by Man of Action Studio and produced by Cartoon Network Studios. The televised cartoon series centers on the life of 10-year old Ben Tennyson and his adventures in life.

Ben and the Omnitrix

The Omnitrix is the focus of the series. It is a mysterious watch-like device that grants the wearer the power to transform into 10 alien characters. Ben discovers the Omnitrix in a pod in the woods and thereafter wears it on his arm. He selects the alien silhouette by turning the face of the Omnitrix and transforms into a particular alien character by pushing the face down.

He is the good guy who repeatedly morphs himself into various alien characters, taking on missions and fighting the bad guys. He uses it to prevent disasters, fight off villains and to save people from terror. On discovery of the Omnitrix, he is transformed overnight into a hero in his small town of Bellwood. But he is not far from mischief.

The entire Ben 10 Series charts the life of Ben from a 4-year old boy to 16 year old teenager. The original series was followed by numerous sequels namely Alien Force, Ultimate Alien and Omniverse. What made the Ben 10 character so popular was that little boys could easily identify with him. At around the same age, they are similar in characteristics and also share similar interests.

What To Look For When Buying A Gaming Headset

If you love playing video games, you need to make sure the gaming headset you purchase is comfortably non-intrusive. Comfort in a headset is vital and of course this is a very individual matter of taste.

You need to consider the wearing style of your headset and whether or not you would prefer:

  • a comfortable light weight on the ear
  • a comfortable fit and feel around the ear
  • perhaps you prefer to feel extreme comfort around the ear.

When you are gaming, a large part of the pleasure of a game is communicating with other gamers. To do this, you need a built-in microphone in your gaming headset. Preferably, headphones should include high-end noise cancellation, so you can hold a clear, easy to understand conversation and chat with your fellow players and hear with crystal clarity what the conversation is as well as what is happening in the game.

Another feature in a quality headset is an adjustable microphone so that you can raise the boom arm into a vertical position away from your mouth.

An Open Or Closed Gaming Headset…

Maybe you like to keep your ears cool and hear what’s happening in the surroundings outside the game without too much disturbance. This is where you should go for an open gaming headset.

If you dislike being disturbed whilst playing and don’t want to disturb those around you, then you should go for a closed gaming headset. The benefit of a closed design is that you can hear the slightest of sounds in the game, which is especially important for competitive gamers. The noise cancelling feature in closed headphones means that even in the noisiest environments you will hear with clarity.

Durability Is Important

When you have decided on the best gaming headphones for your needs, you expect they will last for many years. Make sure only top quality materials are used and that the attention to detail is supreme.

Sound Quality In A Gaming Headset

Crystal clear superior sound is not a choice, it is a must have when it comes to choosing the best gaming headset.

When you are competitive or home gaming and in the middle of the adrenaline producing rush of an exciting video game, being able to pick up on those cues in an interactive game is essential, as is blocking out distracting environmental sounds.

You need to have lightning reactions to sound cues such as gunfire, screams, footsteps and those scenario indicators that will give you the competitive edge you need to take your game to the next level.

The decision to make: do you go with an immersive sound field without to 7.1 channel surround sound or do you go for stereo game sound… It all depends on the type of game you are playing.

Are Spare Parts Easily Available?

Now that you have spent your hard earned dollars on the best gaming headset you can afford, do you know if you can easily purchase spare parts? At some stage you will need to replace such items as your pads or cords. Its worthwhile checking with the manufacturer if they stock spare parts.

Enjoy Gaming With The Your Gaming Headset

When you are looking at buying a new set, its worth taking the time to jot down what features you want in a gaming headset:

  • wireless or not
  • open or closed
  • surround sound or not
  • 7.1, 5.1 or stereo
  • brand
  • budget

Take the time to read reviews and peoples experiences of the brand name product you are considering, you can learn a lot from these. Keep an eye out for online sales platforms such as Amazon as you can often pick up a bargain here.

Once you have them, I know you will enjoy many fun hours. There are loads of great games to play with friends.

Gaming Headset Store is dedicated to bringing you reviews of gaming headsets. If you are looking for wireless, PC, or, just headsets in general, each product is reviewed in detail to help you choose the best one for you. The site also brings you many useful tips on how to get the most value from online gaming, safety factors, cheat codes, information on the Xbox and much more.

Learn To Defend!

You can have all of the attacking flair you like, but if you can’t defend, you’re not getting very far. Manchester United will tell you that first hand.

It’s the same on FIFA 15 – to win matches, you have to learn how to stop the other side cutting your defence to ribbons. And it’s usually more of an issue with a players’ concentration and changing your own habits than anything else.

Too many FIFA players get carried away and love to slide tackle, bring their own players out of defence and mistakenly leaving gaps behind them. It’s too easy for players to exploit those gaps this year. So the tip is – don’t lose your head. Instead, when you’re faced with an attack filled with pace and flair, make sure you have the correct defender you want to make the tackle with and pick your moment.

Backing off with your defenders is so unbelievably effective. Players are so keen to move forward and sprint through teams that when no gaps appear there is nowhere to go. So don’t give your opposition the satisfaction. Pick your tackle at the right moment, or drop off and use team mate control to have someone come back and help out. So simple.

Truth About Online Games

One thing which never seems to die down will be the hype created by online games. Many might think that the fever of online games has died down but they couldn’t have been more wrong. In fact, online games are most popular today in comparison to what they were a few decades ago. The undying appeal for the virtual world of gaming is at a constant up rise. Due to the advancements in technology, the graphics, quality of visuals and sounds, have drastically increased in every capacity, simply pulling more fans into its area of influence. The access to the internet has also increased the number of people who can access these games in the very first place. The realistic sense of the virtual world, which we refer to as the world of gaming, simply plunges every person into its orbit. This in turns them into obsessive fans to this illusionary, yet very surreal world which is under their control and power.

When coming down to online games, over the years, they have seemed to have gained unparalleled followers unlike any other. As mentioned before due to the increased access of the internet, the advanced technological graphics used simply make games very addictive. Due to the mere fact that these games are to be accessed online, time is rather saved from downloading these very games at the very start. Few games also allow a user to save their progress after a very short sign in process which can be logged in through social media websites as well such as Facebook, Google+, Yahoo etc. A recent study has also shown that almost one in every five users on the internet access gaming websites and this number is predicted to increase with the due passage of time as game developers are very keen on producing innovative time effective and fan-following online games which keeps a user busy for days. Even though a handful of people would go against the very essence of online games, there are not only multiple, but several benefits of online gaming which many are unaware of. Luckily for you, who stumbled upon this article, be aware of all the benefits which online games have to offer.

Enhance Memory

Online gaming provides a platform which is indeed very re-collective in terms of making a user plunge into the world of gaming. The biggest perk of online games is that the user has a variety of games to choose from which are away at a click of a second, at equal lapses. Everyone is aware of the fact that humans normally do not utilise 100% of their brain function. Games like puzzles, logic based games, trivia and problem solving games help brain function. Normally humans use one part of the brain but by playing these specific ones, the brain of the user does not only one part of the brain but almost all areas are active and functional. With new games added to the list every day, the user has countless options to choose from alongside new activities to indulge into in the online world of gaming.

Recovery & Health

There are many people out there who are suffering from all kinds of illnesses. Online tools used in games can be very helpful in this regard to help speed up recovery. Parents whose child is sick may find refuge in these games to understand how their child is suffering and can make them understand their child better. Most of the tools which are used in gaming help to increase sharpness and awareness amongst kids which is a great way to booth and improve the mental health of many children suffering from illnesses such as dyslexia. Not all games on the internet are for entertainment; rather most revolve around an educational background which is indeed a motivational area of comfort for children. Many non profit organisations formulate games in order to help aid those children and adults which are suffering for specific kinds of illnesses.

Social Interaction

Many people are shy when it comes to mingling along with others and finding comfort amongst their fellows. During this dilemma, many find solace through interacting with fellow players in the gaming world. This is something which has over the years taken a turn for the best in order to increase social interaction. There are communities formed within these games which indeed form a bond between all prayers and rather forms a community. The virtual world indeed is sometimes very promising when it comes to providing people a platform to voice out without their identity being given out. Such examples of games include Club Penguin which has become very popular. The game simply allows people to entire a world which is full of penguins and for them to interact with other players who too are penguins. These people are from places across the globe. Users also have the option to chat with fellow players and parents have the option to keep a close eye on their children as the site asks for parental consent before indulging in the game.

All in all, there are many more benefits which the virtual world of online games has to offer which not many people are aware of. Only a few are stated in this article but do try out this as an experience for yourself by trying out an online game and then sharing your experiences in terms of benefits.

Dota 2 Vs Heroes of the Storm Vs League of Legends

This is not something new, you can Google and find a great deal of same topics such as; Dota 2 vs LoL, Dota 2 vs Heroes of the Storm, HoS vs LoL… etc.

But most of the people don’t like reading long paragraphs just to learn a small amount of information… I am among them! I don’t like word salads about such topics so I will cut to the chase and I will try to make it as short and useful as possible.

First, you need to understand that these 3 games are very different from each other despite being in the same genre: MOBA. And these 3 MOBA games are perfectly fun and they are the most popular ones of their genre. And thus, it is so very normal that you love 1 of them much more than other 2. However, it’s not normal to trash talk about other 2 you don’t like as much as your favorite. Don’t do it! You seem like a moron when you do that so stop it for your own good!

Don’t even read paragraphs starting like: “This is the best, that is the worst… “, “Not even worth comparing the answer is clear… “, “This is just a copy of that… “… etc. Just run away from stupid content, your brain deserves it!

Now here, I will try to share my and only my own thoughts with you.

Features of Dota 2:

*All heroes are unlocked

Thank you for this Valve! This is really good, I hate the way other companies sell heroes. Yes, we don’t have to spend our real money but, in this case, we have to spend hours of hours gameplay and spend a great deal of in-game currency to unlock a hero to play. Dota 2 lets us play all the available heroes at no cost, that is a big plus. Don’t forget, you can still support buying awesome skins.

*Rewarding/Punishing

When compared to LoL and HoS, Dota 2 is more punishing when you feed your enemies or vice versa; it is more rewarding for your kills. So you can count this however you like; rewarding or punishing. Feeding and getting fed really matter in Dota 2, more than in LoL and HoS. Don’t do stupid mistakes, your enemies may (and probably will) make the most of your stupid mistakes!

*Items are very important

In Dota 2 you have to choose your items really carefully, some items are really hard to get, you have to save a good amount of gold without dying, you also have to deal with courier micro controls when you have enough of gold. Most of the usable items almost change your hero’s mechanics and the match! Also, your enemies will do their best to avoid getting killed and you have to farm carefully, it is not easy to buy items, so be sure that you buy the best item according to your budget. Be sure to buy the item you can make the most of.

*Hero selection and meta

I know that you are thinking it is important for LoL and HoS too. Well… Not all of us attend tournaments, not most of us are “Challenger”. I am myself diamond 3 in LoL, 2.5K MMR in Dota 2 and 25 in HoS. I can say that I have never picked calculating “counter-picks” in LoL or HoS, In fact, most of the time I picked what I wanted! But in Dota 2 this situation is crucial even for 2K MMR. If you want to make your winning chance higher, you need to take your enemy team into consideration and have a good pick. There are even times that picking the right role is not enough, you need to pick a specific hero for certain reasons.

Features of League of Legends:

*Clean graphics and animations

You really wouldn’t want to argue this topic with a Dota 2 fan (not a fan but a nerd), but I don’t support any sides here! I am a fan of all 3 games. And yes graphics and animations of LoL is cleaner than Dota 2. If you are a LoL player please try Dota 2 and you will see that cast animations are slow. You will miss lots of last hits until you figure it out! This is same for skills.

*Community problem

No need to hide it from ourselves, we all know that juvenile kids are the majority in the LoL community until you get your way to diamond and get rid of the most of them at last. Although Riot works a lot to make this community better I don’t think it will be as good as Dota 2’s mature community in a near future.

*Not so punishing

As mentioned, we don’t assume we are in a tournament! We assume that we are just average players. So from this point of view LoL is not very punishing. 2 or 3 early game kills doesn’t change anything, it is not that hard to fix it especially with your teammates’ help. It is an advantage for the killer, of course, but not as crucial as it is in Dota 2. And even if you are better than your enemy, you can’t get a huge advantage with early kills like in Dota 2, you just have to keep it.

*Lots of heroes

Riot used to create more heroes/champions once, then they slowed us a bit, but still there are many champions in LoL compared to Dota 2 and HoS. And it will always be like this unless 3 games change their strategy about this. I accept, you can’t play some of them at higher rankings because there are better options, but I think Riot will fix this balance problem in future and hopefully there will be more champions to play in higher rankings

Features of Heroes of the Storm:

*Lots of maps for ranked matches

You know there are several kinds of maps and different game plays in both Dota 2 and LoL. However, HoS is separated from them because there are many maps for RANKED matches. You queue for a match and you get a random map no matter it is a ranked or a normal match, I think this is great and this makes the game very dynamic. Sticking to only one map can be boring, don’t you agree?

*Events are important

While playing HoS, you need to dominate the event area, you don’t have any other chance to win. This is another beautiful feature because believe it or not, that means more team fights than Dota 2 or LoL, even for low ranking matches.

*One for all, all for one

Another feature I love. Like in Dota 2 and LoL, there is not something like “feeding” or “getting fed”, as an individual at least. In Heroes of the Storm, you don’t level up as an individual; everything team members do is a contribution to the team’s experience pot. When it reaches to enough of experience points, all team members level up. Just avoid being far behind of enemy team about levelling, especially getting ultimate. Because, in a team fight, it is a huge difference to have 1 more talent point.

*There are no gold farming, no items and no last hits

Shocking, isn’t it? Blizzard tried something new and it is working quite fine in my opinion. You don’t need to chase last hits. Some of you think this is bad while some of you think this is perfect. Well… I am not a fan of last hit system.

*Hero selection and meta

As long as your team has all needed roles, it will be OK. Don’t forget to consider that some heroes are clearly better than others.

*Different skills and talents

I almost forgot it! In HoS, you are not limited with 4-5 skills given to your champion. You start with all your active and passive skills and this makes the game very fun even at the beginning. Then you choose one of the several upgrades when you level up. All heroes have 2 ultimates and you choose one of you want when you reach required level. This way, you can combine different skills and play the same hero in a several different styles.

How to Make Money As a Gamer Online

1. Win an e-tournament:

Winning an e-tournament is not a cakewalk an individual should be more than talented and dedicated to win these games. The prizes are also comparable to the dedication of the players as in winners of DOTA 2 in 2011 tournament received 100 million dollars and the StarLeague Starcraft 2 tournament winners received around $100,000.

Some of the brands also promote corporate sponsorships like Intel, Steel Series etc. These companies in the past have sponsored many people.

Gain More XP! Faster!!

The best way to grind XP is to capture multiple low-level Pokemon, pay attention to the number of candy they require to evolve, and wait until you have enough Candy for multiple evolutions at the same time. By capturing the same type of Pokémon over and over you gain more Stardust and Candy. So, don’t think ill of all those Doduos, Caterpies, and Weedles! They’re potentially useful because you can transfer duplicates, which will earn you 1 candy of that Pokemon type. Then, use a Lucky Egg and evolve all of the Pokemon at the same time to gain double the amount of XP. Pidgeys are especially pretty good for this.

Some words of wisdom on Stardust and Candy, though: think carefully about what Pokemon you want to power up now, and which ones you want to save for after you evolve. The more you power up a Pokemon you eventually plan on evolving, the longer it’ll take you to collect the 25, 50, or 100 candies you need to evolve that little guy and see the Pokemon’s CP skyrocket anyway. Pro tip: evolve the Pokemon first, then power it up. Better to use your stardust on Pokemon that are finished evolving or only have one form to optimize your battle lineup, with a bunch of even stronger Pokemon waiting in the wings, piling up candies to take your squad to the next level once they evolve.

Heroes Of The Storm: Learn The Basics

Heads up resident gamers! Blizzard entertainment has recently released a new video game that takes the field of Multiplayer Online Battle Arena to a whole new different level.

With its game play set on the Nexus that links varied dimensions, Heroes of the Storm revolves around a fight between good and evil where Blizzard icons Uther and Raynor attempt to defeat Diablo and Stitches. Furthermore, this game seems like a grand reunion of the heroes of other Blizzard franchises (ie. Warcraft, Starcraft, Diablo, etc.), thus explaining why it was named that way.

Characters

The game offers a wide array of playable characters for completing your team of five. Generally, there are four types in which you can choose from:

    • Assassin – can inflict heavy damages on vulnerable enemies, but may be held back by its susceptibility to enemy attacks as well

    • Warrior – resilient to attacks, warriors are capable of taking on waves of enemy minions

    • Support – these types can reverse tables for any team through healing and giving out added abilities to allies

  • Specialist – whether it is to act as the team’s commander or siege, their specific expertise may come in handy in developing the overall force of your team

The right set of heroes is one of the key elements of surviving Heroes of the Storm. But it doesn’t end with customizing your team’s abilities. Here are a few tips as to how to effectively maneuver your hero:

    • Avail of the “try” feature – To get an initial feel as to a hero’s stats, the game allows players a free trial of using it for a pseudo-combat. This minimizes the risk of regretting the gold you spent on someone not really compatible for your strategies.

    • Raise the levels of as many heroes as possible – A common mistake of gamers is focusing on one character alone. At minimum, try to level up every hero you have available to level 5. This unlocks key abilities and can also help you tailor-fit team composition to your enemies’ weaknesses.

  • Practice new techniques – Before immediately trying out that strategy you’re itching to use, test it first through a practice or co-op game. It wouldn’t hurt to make sure you won’t screw things up in an actual match.

Game Play

Although there are similarities, Heroes of the Storm has distinct features in contrast of the likes of DOTA and League of Legends. Let’s take a look at some things to remember before jumping into the game:

    • Gaining experience – Your role in the team doesn’t matter, nor does your favorite “last hit” strategy. Every member gains experience in a constant manner as long as all of the lanes are occupied.

    • Team dynamics is a must – Though it may be difficult at first to communicate with fellow newbies during in the beginning, note that this game is all about team work. Communication and building strategies is what will set you apart from other players.

  • Battlefields greatly differ – The game features unique arenas, but they all have one thing in common – there exists a key event that is vital to win against the enemy team. For instance, one requires you to pay gold to a pirate captain for him to charge his ship’s cannons against the enemy lines.

How to Get a Game Server Hosted

First of all what are game server providers, GSPs, and why do I need one? If, like me, you love playing games with your other online gaming buddies you generally play together online. You and your team need a playground that will provide the online space for you to. How and where does all that information get processed? There are two main methods.

The first is peer to peer. Peer to peer is a well established protocol of information sharing between willing computers. In the case of online computer games this is where one computer acts as the host (master computer if you like) and all other players’ computers send their information to the master. This gives the player hosting the game a slight advantage in response time or lower ping and of course once that player leaves the game the server no longer exists as it was dependent on his connection, historically this has been referred to as a ‘listen server’.

Dedicated Servers. Some games companies like Activision and EA provide their own online “official” or “ranked” dedicated servers where they have their own machines in their own data centre hosting official servers that they control and admin. Console games generally also have their own dedicated servers provided by the developers or peer to peer solutions in some cases as with Modern Warfare 2 and 3. But some servers are provided by individuals who like to have personal control over how their game server is setup. These come in two options. Either the individual has a rented or owned machine and hosts the game server themselves. The second option is to rent a dedicated game server from a large list of GSP’s (game server providers) who for a small monthly charge can host your server for you 24 hours a day and have web based graphic user interfaces in order to start, stop, reinstall, edit configuration files, setup scheduled restarts, install mods and much more. This is in large part the most common choice as it is both cost effective and much easier to get started. Only basic knowledge is needed in order to host a server this way. That is why the GSP industry has grown to a 5 million dollar a year industry.

What are online servers?

A server is a machine running in a data centre (DC) with a high bandwidth connection to the internet and a redundant power supply to keep things online 24 hours a day, 365 days per year. This allows lots of players to connect to one place to all play together. GSP’s host their game servers on machines in a data centre.

What is ping?

Ping is just an ICMP command that checks the time it takes for a packet of information to travel from one computer to another and back again. Ping is measured in ms or milliseconds which are thousandths of a second. A game server that is hosted within 300 miles of your physical location should provide you with a good latency to your game server.

Full Dedicated Server

I have heard of dedicated servers. What are these?

You can rent a full dedicated server, this gives you root access to a Windows Server machine via Remote Desktop Connection. This is for advanced users as setting up a game server using steamcmd and configuring the firewall can be a time consuming process but for large communities and clans this is the only option. Full control over your game servers, root access to all of the files, something you will never get with shared game server hosting. It comes with a cost though, around the $100 per month mark so get those donations flowing to pay for the hardware.

Shared Game Server Hosting

Renting through a GSP (game server provider) is the most common and the best bang for your buck way to run a game server. You choose a provider from the many 100’s out there, choosing which provider to go with can be quite a daunting task. Here are the main points to consider.

· Price. Well price is king in most cases and a lot of gamers would have looked for the cheapest company in the top ten of Google and gone with them without even thinking about it. However choosing the lowest price is a haphazard way to choose any service, whether it be a plumber, an electrician or in this case a game server. You can choose the cheapest and take a punt, go for the most expensive and hope that translates into a quality service or if you’re like me go for the middle ground, not too cheap and not too expensive. I use this practice when choosing everything, from toasters to hotel rooms. But price isn’t the only factor to consider.

· Reputation. Reputation has an extremely strong influence in any decision on which service provider to use. There are game server companies that seem to of been around since the dawn of the internet age, and there are new unknown companies that have only formed in the past years. The older companies have seen it all before and maybe can get caught not putting the effort into the control panel functionality that a modern games and gamers demand. New vibrant young companies can be enthusiastic and energetic in their approach to both new game releases and support but they can also make mistakes and show a lack of experience in challenging support matters. The complicated nature of the newer indie games and steam early access games make it very difficult to get a smooth running game server so I would opt for the middle ground again, a company that’s not too long in the tooth but also old enough to have experience where it matters.

What else does a GSP offer then?

There are also some other factors to consider when selecting a GSP:

· Control Panel Interface. This is a Graphic User Interface (GUI) where you control your game server from. Here you can launch the game, change the rules, add server passwords, add bans, allows, add administrators and add mods. This should be fast and easy to use. The industry standard is TCAdmin 2, but many providers have custom created control panels to reduce costs as TCAdmin can be rather pricy for enterprise companies.

· Support staff experience. The support staff has experience to set up the game to make is easier to play as lots of games nowadays have complicated set up procedures. A good GSP will have a configuration editor already configured in the GSP control panel so that you do not need to go and research all the information to edit the file yourself. The key is the better the staff the less problems will go wrong with your server once you have it.

· Mod installers. Some GSPs have mod installers where you can, in one or two clicks, completely install a mod to a game with all the required files without the need to upload via FTP. Again this is a setup that your GSP would/should have made themselves.

· 24 Hour support. I play games into the wee hours of the morning and business hours support is no good to me. I want 24 hour support and I want someone to get back to me pretty quick so I can get on with my gaming. I don’t get a lot of free time and I don’t want it wasted on staring at a broken server, even if I did broke it myself.

· Instant Setup. Most GSP’s should have instant setup, in my experience this is not actually instant, instant start of the setup, not quite instant setup, the files need to download and some of these new games can be 20GB or more.

· Configuration editors. These are necessary for GSPs as many don’t want to give access to the root folders and modify the configurations and .ini files as the player slots are generally directly related to CPU consumption so the more player slots you require the more the server will cost. A good configuration editor will make the setting up of your game server easier. The complicated nature of some of the recent indie games like DayZ and Ark Survival evolved require attention to detail in order to get running smoothly. Make sure to check that the GSP is up to date with all custom configurations as updates for these types of games come quite often and can break an out of date configuration. So making sure the GSP staff are keeping up with games is a good indicator of a good GSP. Any good GSP should be able to answer detailed questions about their games and if they don’t what kind of support can you expect from them.

Pick An Easy Hero

Pick An Easy HeroThere are over 100 heroes in DOTA 2 and not all of them are beginner friendly. You might think Invoker’s strange sexy hair makes him your perfect hero, but he isn’t. You might think Visage and his flying ghouls look like something out of your favourite book, but they aren’t. There are some heroes in DOTA 2 with an insanely high skill cap; allowing the best players to really showcase what they can do in competitive games.

Avoid these heroes like the plague; you’ll get frustrated, shout a lot and your parents will wonder what has happened to the polite child they raised.

A good starting hero would be something like Lich; he has a high movement speed, some great abilities to help your teammates and some high damage skills so you’re never out of the action.
